Cockatoo

Seeing a lot of Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo around here of late. They are big birds that fly slowly with large sweeping wings and their heads down, while making an almost primeval wail. While they seem gentle they also seem other-worldly, especially when a flock arrives. They are the inspiration for many bush legends and dreamtime stories, and I can see why.
